Outwardly I am a human being shaped by the order and disorder of my temporary culture. Inwardly I am the center of the universe and the wordless silence. I am also the observer and the witness of all my thoughts and emotions and doings. My drive as a painter is based on the tension that has been accumulated between my outer and my inner world. The discrepancies, conflicts and directions taken in the ‘world’ around me are in stark contrast with my personal aim for spiritual understanding, attitude and action towards humanity and nature. I have come to the conclusion that the history and facts of human life are very relative when placed against our cosmic essence. I try to communicate the relativity of our human approach towards life. The essence, the invisible, that is responsible for this creation is what inspires me.
